Beautiful Summer Flowers

As I look at all the shades of brown out my back window, I can't help but to remember the warm, soothing colors of summer. These beautiful flowers were in a pond outside DeGrandchamps in South Haven. We visit DeGrandchamps every year to pick and eat blueberries. Our trip is not complete until we visit the store, where we sample blueberry mustard, butter and jams. They also have some pretty amazing fudge. Yum!!

Out my sliding door, which the computer sits by, is brilliant green. The browns of summer, no rain after April and unwillingness to use water that way, have turned green from the rain a few weeks ago. Looks like it could use a lownmower too. Tradeoffs. Blueberries-sweet blue memories, with a little sneakiness thrown in when you go to rows other than those assigned. I continue to appreciate the South Haven sunset on the opening of your blog. Saw a beautiful one at the coast last night. Took myself out there yesterday in our motor home for some healing ions. The water is always so soothing. I reflected on SH beach as I walked on the California beach. The sand up here is dirty looking and has tiny stones in it. The views from the cliffs are magnificent tho. It's possible to walk the cliff trails for miles. I usually do the 2 mile loop that goes 1/2 way on the cliffs, down log and sand steps, then the last part of the loop on the beach back to camp. I ususlly like to park in overflow parking, which gives a view of the beach with out neighbors on both sides. Oh lucky me to have this resource 45 minutes away. Love, Pat

Lucky you is right! That sounds beautiful Pat. I just can't picture you driving a motorhome!

Kathleen, the Uhaul truck that I drove out to California was about the same size as our motorhome. The truck part is a Toyota and the rest is a Dolfin. I think it is 16 years old. We bought it used. It's not a big deal to drive, you just need to remember that it's wider than it seems looking out the front window. It fits in a regular spot in a parking lot and only sticks out a little-same with our driveway. Just overhangs the sidewalk a bit. Penny would like us to drive it to Chicago but it doesn't have air and it makes a lot of noise when driven at 55 or 60.I'll have to send you a picture of me driving it along with the view out our window. Oh, oh it's past my bedtime. Night,Pat
